According to this recent article posted by Foxbusiness.com,The International Franchise (IFA) Association is predicting growth in both the fast-food and table-service franchise eateries at 1.5 and 1.3 percent for 2009. The article goes on to comment that with over 3,000 franchises for sale the key in today's market is to pick a franchise concept that has room for growth going forward and is not just a fad.
The article also mentions that franchise concepts that cater to quick snacking between meals are hot right now. This would include franchising categories such as smoothie and juice franchises for sale.
